I graduated at the Federal Technical College Mödling in precision engineering and optics. After a two-year stint into studying architecture at the Vienna Technical University I moved on into the world of commercials and films.
I started out as an Avid-Editor an Cut&Copy in Vienna, where I worked on commercials, corporate- and imagefilms for high-profile clients in Austria and internationally. It was there when I first started working with professional cameras and my passion was kindled.
Later I applied to—and got accepted—as a student in »London Film School« (formerly London International Film School) where I got my diploma »Art and Technique of Filmmaking—distinction: cinematography«. At that time the school was chemical-film-only and I was able to work on more than 35 student films, gaining valuable experience in the camera- and lighting department.
After graduating from LIFS as a Director of Photography, I went freelance and since shot all kinds of projects ranging from TV commercials to TV shows, corporate-, event- and shortfilms as well as passive and interactive Web-content. In 2012 I shot "Chimeres" a swiss/belgian Feature-Film. More recently I worked on Wienerland — an upcoming webseries whilst shooting commercials for cinema, web and television.
